My wife's high school friend / College Roommate got a job down at the geographic south pole and took this photo. She has come a long way since small town Iowa.

Odd, it's only a 4.5/1. I'd have figured the terrain would be more difficult. Do you suppose it's handicap accessible?
Oh one more thing... if they do replace this with a micro... it should come with the following disclaimer: "Do not put your tongue on the cache container!"

You think the NPS is tough, it is against the Antarctic Treaty to leave anything there unless you can get permission from the 43 treaty member nations. I am amazed there is a sign there.

You know, it DOES look like Iowa in the winter. Perhaps they just made that sign to fool me! Lol!
Sorry if you can't get to it. Loaded it on Yahoo but apparently they must have a limit on how many links can be done to a photo in a day. Just try again another day.
Surprised thier eyeballs didn't freeze just taking the photo. She sends us photos weekly from down there and they are all pretty amazing.
