I had something burrowing around the foundation of my house. Me being me, I couldn't poison or kill it. So, a Havahart trap was employed.
The little lady now lives near Lake Jackson. While I was there, I had to check to see if Fresh Air BBQ was still excellent. It is! (It was a chipmunk, btw.) See ya on the hunt! |

Awww! What a tenderheart! We have a neighborhood cat that takes care of the rodent population around here. Yesterday he was enjoying a nice, fat, furry something-or-other. We have chipmunks, but I read in the Mark Trail funnies that cats can't catch chippies. They're too fast.

Well we use to have chipmunks living in the dirt bank above the house. At that time our cat would catch them. But she was a tenderheart too. She brought them into the house and turned them loose. We would have to catch them or run them out.

That's a big chipmunk... Must have come in from TX. Never saw a chipmunk that looked like it could whip up on a guinea pig.

If my Tommy-cat had caught the chippie, I'm afraid there would be no chippie and a very satisfied cat. TC never goes out, yet occasionally I find "remnants" of home invaders; never a whole invader.
Update: Since the first chippie mentioned above, I'm up to 5 caught from the same area. Each has a nice new home in the woods - far far away. See ya on the hunt! |

I had two of these little rascals chew their way into the eve of my house. They made their nest in between the inside and outside wall. You could hear them moving around in the walls.
Had to wait until they had gone out forging for food then placed/painted cow's blood on their entrance. The will not cross a blood trail. Then I repaired the hole and problem was solved. I still see the little buggers outside at the wood line, but believe they have moved in to new quarters. |
