Being new to the area, Im still trying to find everything. I was wondering if any of you Atlantians(is this a word) know of any good quick japanese places. There was a place in Savannah called Kyoto Fantasy express that served hibachi style food PDQ. It was really cheap, and really quick. They had a simple menu of teriyaki chicken, hibachi steak, or shrimp served with rice for around Five bucks. And it was an mazing place that I miss dearly, so I was wondering if you guys know of anything like that around here.

There's one right around the corner from the intersection of Piedmont and Cheshire Bridge Rds. I can't remember the name of it but we've eaten there once and it was decent. It's actually on Cheshire Bridge which has lots of other flavors if you're in the mood for something different.

There is a Nakato's Japanese restaurant near Piedmont & Cheshire Bridge. It's very good food, but it's sit-down place, not fast-food Japanese.

Unpretentious, this Japanese steakhouse is a best-kept secret among intown sushi buffs.

Americanized Japanese food you can find at "Ru San's". There are few around ATL. Ususally they have dollar sushi and are okay. They cater to the more hip and young culture of the ATL. Right up your alley.

If you want a pretty authentic/homestyle sitdown sushi bar place try "Haru Ichiban" over at Satellite Blvd and Pleasant Hill road in Gwinnett near the Gwinnett Place Mall. We love it there. Prices range from 6 bucks for noodle dishes to 15 for a full dinner meal and then some. Nice place for lunch.

We always base our choice of traditional Japanese restaurants on how many Asian folks we see in the place. If there are alot, then its probably pretty authentic.

That was the big thing I kept running into was everybody was rated for their Sushi. Well I don't like sushi(the food, not the fisherking), not a big fan of seafood. Im more interested in good teriyaki chicken.

Two I like are:

Hashigushi Jr. in the strip mall next to the Palm hotel next to Lenox.

A small one in the strip mall at Biscayne and Peachtree streets. Both have good cooked food as well as sushi.
