For those of the NGORGE persuasion, you probably know that I'm a member of the Southern Jeeps offroad club.
There is now a spinoff club called Off Camber 4WD that is just starting up. Most of the members of the new club are also members of SJ, but the new club will welcome owners of non-Jeep 4wd vehicles. If interest, please check out the forum website: http://offcamber4wd.org/forum/index.php |

I signed up as well. Looks like their meetings are going to be the second Saturday of the month, so participating in the discussion forums may be all I get to do.
But then again, I've pretty much gotten extreme off-roading out of my system thanks to the Solaros Land-Rover club, and have no interest in having to do body and mechanical repairs after a trail ride again. ~erik~ |

It is possible to do easy-moderate rides at Tellico and Beasely Knob, or some of the other Offroad areas, without fear of body damage. I am sure that the landrover and Trez's GC can handle trails 4,5,6 at Tellico with nothing more than belly pan scraping.
I've seen some fairly large trucks as well there, so I presume that phat.bak's Big Boy would have no problems either, other than possibly some tight turns. It's just a bit more challenging than Amicalola or the FS roads. I've been riding for 15 months with these clubs and have yet to suffer any damage whatsoever. |
