Hey guys, here's something sort of geocaching related....I'll explain. My wife entered a picture of our boy in a "Summer Cool Kids" photo contest. There were 63 entries and her pic was chosen as one of the 5 finalists! Here's the picture:



I took this picture of him last summer under our pontoon boat at the beach by stage 1 of Pine Torch Place (GC164A5) on Lake Lanier.

So now people are casting their votes for one of the 5 finalists to win the contest. As of this posting she's in first place...by one vote!! Voting ends this Friday the 24th at 5pm.

For some reason this contest has really gotten to her. It's kinda fun to watch her competitive instincts come out! So if you'd like to help her (and me and WakeboardLanier Jr.) win, post a comment for her picture to cast a vote. Here are the instructions she's been sending her friends:

Thanks geomuse!! We were tied before your vote put us over the edge again. By looking at the numbers we're three votes ahead but that's because two people cast duplicate votes that won't be counted.

Well, they're supposed to post the final counts today but that hasn't happened yet. But at 5pm yesterday we had 53 votes and another picture/mom/child was ahead with 61 votes. Both of us had some dupes in there that won't count. I think the next highest count was 14 votes. So it's not official yet but it looks like we came in a respectable second.

We really appreciate our GGA buddies who voted for us! Thank you!!

We're the runner up as expected but we got a prize!! Four free passes to Imagine It! The Children’s Museum of Atlanta.
