I'm looking for off-leash dog parks along I-20 between Atlanta & Augusta. I'm not too familiar with this area, so I was hoping some of our Geocaching dog owners might be able to make some recommendations.

The granddaddy of 'em all is in Atlanta's Piedmont Park, adjacent to the Hobo Highway geocache.

Granddaddy, I assume because it's been around the longest. I've been down to the Piedmont dog park several times, but I was hoping to find something a little farther out east I-20.

Some folks that live in Augusta were hoping to setup a Boxer Bash somewhere between Atlanta & Augusta, so we could get attendees from both cities. I was hoping to find a nice dog park roughly halfway between the two cities.

Oh well-I'm really more of a cat geocaching guy anyway.

OK, so this isn't helpful at all. As a cat person, every time I see a reference to a dog park, this is what comes to mind.



FWIW, the little shelter I built for my outdoor kitty is known as a cat house.

I can't imagine trying to parallel park Charlie & Emma at that Puppy Parking station while another dog was there. I guess I would have to keep circling the block until the dog left.

I notice that the collar on the red leash is empty ... must have been a tasty chiuahua.

So I lied when I said I would shut up. PB reminded me of a joke:

This meek little man walks into a bar and says softly that he would like to speak to the owner of the German shepherd tied up outside.

Big burly dude say, Hey, that's my dog, what's it to you?

Meek guy says, I think he's dying. My dog is killing him.

Burly dude says, huh? How can that be, what kind of dog do you have?

Meek guy says, a Chihuahua.

Burly guy says, How in the world can your Chihuahua be killing my German Shepherd?

Meek guy says, I think it's stuck in his throat.
