Was wondering if anyone here might be familiar with resetting and clearing the memory on electronic ignitions I have recently acquired a 89 Ford Bronco 4x4 2.9 liter an unbelievable price of 8 Dollars and am having to do the work myself. I sure can use and appreciate any input.

There is one thing that I Have learned. The more I learn the more I learn how much I don’t know.

From the "Big Bronco Faq":
1. Disconnect the black ground terminal from the battery.
2. Depress the brake pedal for 20 seconds. (this erases the memory)
3. Re-attach the battery cable.
4. Drive the vehicle and prior to completing 5.7 miles come to a complete stop twice. After each stop perform a Wide Open Throttle acceleration.
5. Continue driving until you have completed 5.7 miles. (re-learning period)

When you get it going you may need to join us for a NGORGE event.

Though everyone is invited and 4wd is not mandatory it is recommended. Wink

Wouldn't know. I don't know what that is and being a 4wd novice and not knowing the roads that question is best for KVOM our NGORGE Guide.

It is a lifted two wheel drive Nissan pickup. The last 4X4 I owned was a waste of money, used the 4X4 less than twenty times in 5 years. I have the same clearance as the Nissan 4X4, without the maintenance headaches of 4X4$$$$.

Join us NGORGE'n! You'd probably get by with just clearance, but 4WD will help with some obstacles like mudholes & rocky slopes. Don't worry about getting stuck though. We're packin' recovery equipment, and me & my Jeep for one would love to pull you out! Hey! That sounds like an excellent topic for February's event!!

I got my winch delivered yesterday, and will have it mounted on the 29th. Assuming my winch cable & fairlead show up by then.

I think a recovery clinic will be an excellent topic for an event; as it looks like we're going to Rock Town next time, 4WD is not a necessity.

I can't wait to see what a $8 Bronco is like.

Hmmm...
The above two steps seem like standard driving conditions around any Gwinnett high school. Drive a bit, get stopped in bumper to bumper traffic, high schoolers revving the engines in their cars, drive a bit, ...
I live near Berkmar High, and the traffic at the beginning and end of the school day is notorious.
