In my years of tv watching, I came a custom to watching the food network quite a bit and found the show "Good Eats" w/ alton brown. After a few shows I noticed that when he went to a Kroger or a Bed Bath Beyond, or anywhere outside his kitchen, he was in Alpahretta, Marietta, and all the other towns surrounding Atlanta. So I was wondering does anyone watch this show too and have any of you seen this guy while shopping around town?

One of our favorite shows on FoodTV also. We don't live in that area of town, so we haven't run into him shopping. I wonder if they don't do the taping off-hours to avoid crowds. On a side note, one of his shows a couple weeks ago was on smoking meats. He made a home-made smoker out of two clay pots and a hot plate that he says works just as well as a $300 "Big Green Egg". I've been picking up the pieces and I'm ready to start smoking something for the upcoming GGA BBQ. My cost so far? Around $30.

I do know that the old production...Means Street Productions...was based in Atlanta. The new company (don't recall the name) for all I know is the old company with a new name....the editing and the shooting all look the same to me.

I used to do work in the facility where Good Eats is posted. Means Street Productions used to be called Brick House Editorial. Their main facility is (strangely enough) located in an old candy factory on Means Street, behind the Roxy Hotel and around the corner from the Ga. Tech "Engineer's Bookstore".

We may be talking about different bookstores, or maybe it moved (I haven't been in there for a year or two. The one I'm talking about is on the corner of Means Street and Marietta Street, across from the "Tech Parkway" entrance to Georgia Tech and across the street from the Goodwill store.
