I seem to remember somewhere on the boards a thread, but I can't find it. (Lazy)
Is there a food supplement that you can feed dogs to help ward of ticks, fleas, mosquitos? What about a chemical collar? Poor ole Poncho gets attacked every time we let him venture out. "Give to a pig when it grunts and a child when it cries, and you'll have a fine pig and a bad child." -Proverb |

. . . without a cache. |
Not sure about the food supplement for dogs, but I've used Advantix for cats for a couple of years. T & B are long haired kitties and it's the only thing I found that worked and didn't affect them in a bad way. I'd assume (yeah, I know how that's spelled) that it was as effective on dogs as it is on cats.

From what I know about fleas ticks and the such, I think you are thinking about brewers yeast and garlic. Supposedly it is supposed to aid in the warding off of the little critters, but who knows. I use Frontline on the insane sisters and I have never had to pull a tick from either one in 4 years.
Me on the other hand...well that's another story! |
