Here's a new take on sharing photos. GeoSnapper allows you to upload and share your photographs. But there's a twist.
You have to arm yourself with a GPS (global positioning system) receiver. After you take your picture, note the exact location of where you are. Upload the picture with the latitude and longitude and you're good to go!
Even if you don't participate, it's fun to look at the different pictures from all over the U.S.
I noticed geosnapper a year ago when I was looking for software to stamp my digital photos. I also found GPS-Photo Link which does what I wanted but it costs $229.00. That is more than I want to spend. There also is an old groundspeak thread about geosnapper. The thread mentions QuakeMap which appears to be able to link photos to the location recorded in the GPS. It is on my list of things to try. Just like CacheMate is on my list to try.

Nope don't have Camedia Master, I have several graphic tools, for medium level work I use Microsoft Image composer, for simple picture editing I use adobe PhotoDeluxe, for more complicated editing I use the big boy Adobe Photo Shop, for simple cards and signs etc I use Sierra Print Artist.
What I was looking for when I found GPS-Photo Link was a program to read the GPS track and match it to the pictures taken and automaticly add the Lat/Long which GPS-Photo does. But I don't think it is worth as much as they do.
