How do i make OE keep ALL the messages I recieve?
It tends to delete after a certain number. Is there somewhere I can change this? Happy Hunting! -Amazingracer It's about who controls the information Marty! |

Hmmm. good question. I used OE for work and I had over 1800 messages in my In-box going back 3 years. There must be something in the options.

Well the messages come from an IMAP server that deletes the messages after 7 days.
However OE, does not save the emails that i download from the server. |

It must be a setting. I have used OE for years and still have messages from way back. I create folders every six months and move old incoming messages there. It makes it easy to search and makes it easy to kill spam that has odd dates on it.
I'll look at the setting when I get home. I use Outlook at work. |

Pehaps its the autoArchive.
Assuming your version looks like mine, try this: Go to Tools and then Options. Go to the "Other" tab. Select the AutoArchive button. Make sure the options in there are what you want. Such as the "Delete expired Items" and the "Archive or deltete Old Items" section of choices of where you tell it how long to keep them. Just a thought. |

I found a setting in OE for the IMAP folder so that it just syncs the new files instead of ALL files. that should work.
