Is there any one who has camped on cumberland, maybe within the last two years, who would not mind if I contacted them with a couple of questions I have? Thank you.

Joe told me about your post last week and I just never got around to replying. I hope I'm not too late or that you've changed your mind. We used to go on a yearly trek to Cumberland with Gwinnett Cty Park - Dr Mark Patterson. We camped at one of the larger group campgrounds - Sea Pines or something like that. It was well worth the effort of bringing stuff in and taking it all back out. Cool place. Even sifted and got some pretty large shark's teeth from the roadways. They dredge the channel and dump the dredgings onto the roadways on the island. Let me know if I can be of more help. I'd love to go back. Really enjoyed the area - so much to see and NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE!!
