All,

I'm hoping this is the proper place to post this. If not, please accept my apologies.

I've had to take out an old, dead oak in my back yard. Now the problem of removal is being tackled.

I have begun splitting the rounds into firewood and am well on my way to having a cord stacked and drying. Problem is, there's only a few people near me that want or need the wood.

Until I get this problem solved, my caching time will be nearly nonexistent. I've been splitting the wood after work until it's too dark to work on it.

Does anyone out there need some? It's still got enough moisture in it that it doesn't burn easily, but I'm sure it'll be great to replenish the wood you'll be using this year.

Any offers for the split wood will be considered, and if you're willing to take unsplit rounds (many over 2' across) I'm wiling to help you load them and you can have them for free. I just wanna go caching again!

Thanks for any interest,

- Mark (S-4-C)

Yes! I need firewood. I don't think I can split the rounds with my maul, but I'll take some of the split stuff. How does $5 a stack sound? You know, like you see people selling for $8-$10 in their front yards. And I'll look at the rounds to see if I think I can split them with my maul.

I'll message you after I get home. Still at the office now, but will be leaving soon. (Yeah, I hated coming in the day after Christmas, but if I didn't come in the payroll wouldn't have been completed.)

I'll pass on directions or coords, whichever you prefer, and we can work out the details.

I'm busting the rounds with a sledge and wedge, then following with an axe, but it might be possible with a maul. Ever seen a Monster Maul? They're the best, but near impossible to find now.

Rambling now, so I'd better go. Will message you soon.
