I started to play this the day the contest was launched. The virtual geocaching parts after watching the videos doesn't work very well in my OS. So I had to stop at 7 entries. It's a cute promotion though. I'm sure the jeep lovers in our group will enjoy it!

Well, I tried to enter the sweepstakes but was put off by the notice:

E-mail address is a mandatory field, but I do not care to receive updates, incentives, and special offers from DaimlerChrysler. So I did not enter the sweepstakes. I would encourage following the convention of letting people opt out of being spammed.

Too bad. Frown

That's one of the benefits of having a free junk email address on Hotmail (or the like)
Any time someone requires an email address, slap in the junkmail address. Then once a week, open it up, select all, trash, delete.(just to keep it from filling up).
All you've wasted is a couple of minutes to sign on, dump the box, & sign off.

From time to time you may have to read an email or two to get an emailed password to a site. But for the most part it's just sign on, take out the trash, and sign off!!

I've been using a hotmail address for stuff like this for about 4 years now and RARELY get any SPAM to my other 5 addresses that I have.

Shoot! They're free! Make them useful! Up To No Good

I tried calling Miguel today.

Strangely, I couldn't reach him. I was asked repeatedly for my information, which I politely declined to offer.

As I went through my denials, it became more apparent that my chances of contacting Miguel were in direct parallel with my providing information.

So, if you happen to be Mr. Jacob Brockennock of Port Lee, MN - my apologies. I lied. And still Miguel was not available to me.

Hello AtlantaGal,

I apologize for such a delayed response. I was out of the office for a few days and thus, did not have the opportunity to respond in a timely manner. However, in regards to your concern, can you please let me know what type of OS you are running? I will try to see if I can locate any information that may facilitate this function for you. In addition, I would suggest to check your system settings and any variables that may hinder your PC's functionality (i.e. small disk space availability, outdated processor, slow Internet connection etc...).

Talk to you soon...

Hello Cymbaline,

I apologize for such a delayed response. As I was mentioning to AtlantaGal, I was out of the office for a few days and thus, unable to respond in a more timely manner. Now that we can finally communicate, I would like to let you know that I can be contacted between 3pm-12am ET. How can I be of assitance?

Talk to you soon...

In the "jeep offroad community" I have heard no good words at all about the Commander, other than "it's better than the H3."

Luckily DC still makes Wranglers.
