Anyone getting snow or have snow going on tonight? Or if you read this in the morning did you get any snow?

I saw that toccoa and augusta seem to be in the midst of it and the weather coniditions of both towns show snow going on right now.

Like Allen ... ice on trees, water on roads. Some trees starting to come down with isolated power outages. Ours keeps coming and going. 2 trees down in back yard. 1 tree hanging on our power line. Crossing my fingers it doesn't come all the way down. It took 4 days to restore it last time, as I'm on the end of the line.

As i fearred, we lost power again. Total of 8 trees down with 3 on the power line. The good news is that I just got power on again.
Now the cleanup begins.

Yesterday, my wife said the power went off at about 8, her boss called and said not come in because there was no power. The power came on again about 3. However as I came home for the last 5 miles there wasn't any power until I got to the street our house is on.

I remember in the big ice storm winter of 74, my parents were without power for 3 or 4 weeks.

Anybody get any of the white stuff with this cold front yesterday/today? Weather.com showed possibilities in N GA, and even Atlanta.

The governor told all us teachers we WOULD take two snow days back during the gas "crisis" following Rita. Since we're contractually obligated to work 190 days, we now how to figure out which days we'll work to replace those "snow" days. Seems like you see snow at odd times if your name is Sonny.

Down here they are adding 11 minutes on to each workday to make up the 2 missed days. That is stupid I would reather work on a Saturday than add minutes to each day. Actually I would rather not make them up at all, the students don't have to.
