So it's either phat.bak's nightmare or his ticket to running what he currently can't: Windows XP on Intel Macs Of course he doesn't have the Intel version
Hey phat.bak, you forgot to remind me after the NGC meeting to give you that RAM. Next time.

Instead of re-booting the Mac to run XT, then re-booting to run OS X, how about running Windows and Mac OS X not just on the same machine, but at the same time, with only a slight drop in performance.

Yea, I got the notice about 'Boot Camp yesterday. While all this advanced technology is awesome, it is at the moment 'cost prohibitive' for me. I'm still stuck at OSX 10.3.9 on a 500mhz PPC G4 w/608 mSDRAM. Not exactly the swiftest thing around... am still trying to find an 'evaluation copy' of 10.4 (Tiger) . If I do, it will push my G4 to its limits. Am having to spring for a Tranny rebuild on 'Big Boy' - ($2,000 smackers) - so a newer computer is out of the question for awhile. I can only sit on the sidelines and salivate for now ...
