Does anyone know of a good deep scratch remover? I have gotten several deep scratches (deep enough to see metal underneath) from rocks hitting by car, car doors, and branches scraping down the side of the Blazer. None of the scrathes are really big and the Blazer looks perfect at a normal distance bbut when you get up close you can see them. So does any one know of a good way to repaitr these things? I have seen the miracle forumals on TV where you just apply the cream and turns the scrath to your car color but I havent found those in retail stores. So any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would usually recommend getting a can of touch-up paint the same color as the car from your dealership and just touching up the scratches... This will reseal it just fine. If you have any rust in those scratches, however, you'll have to sand them first to remove the rust...

I have small tube of paint with brush that I ordered from Chevrolet to do just that however when I tried it out on a few of the scratches. When it dried it was not smooth and did not have the smae texture as the original paint, did have the same color, though.

I've used this Turtlewax product with good results. I think Autozone carries it.

I have tried the color cure with the chip stick. When i use the chip stick and polish over it there is a dark red spot where the chipstick was used. And it stood out worse than the orginal scratch.

good old fashioned rubbing compound? It can cover a multitude of sins. Just a thought.

Try a lighter shade or use a lot of elbow grease on the scratch. It's probably not that noticeable to others, just to you. You're aware of it and it glares at ya. Also try a zillion coats of good quality wax, letting each dry a day or so be applying the next.

I wouldn't do the polishing compound though. With today's finishes of metallic and clear coat paints, you can do more damage then good.

I use a device called "Trade It In." After that, the finish is wonderfully smooth and scratch-free. Laughing

If yer gonna' 'cache in yer car in the brush, yer car's gonna' get scratched like you do! Nods
