In 2004 I rotated the picture for the month in that slot. I did not do that in 2005. I can see if I can rotate the GA In State photos again.

I've changed the photo. I don't know about putting old photos there though. I like the idea of putting up the photo for that calendar month. It might not be a bad idea to put the old calendar photos up on a page on the web site though. It would be a shame to loose that old historical information. Creating something like that would be very easy.

Well if hosting company (old name infopop new name groupee I think) allows you to place .htaccess files on the ggaonline.org website and has mod-rewrite turned on. Then you could do all the work now and it would automatically change each month. Sorta like I do my avatar except the avatar change is random and the calendar page would be based on the month number.

Of course I don't know if the hosting company allows this, some like mine do, others don't. If they do and you want to do this and would like my help just email me.

I'll send in a question and find out. Thanks Allen. Smile

EDIT: A quick look at the support forums shows that others are using .htaccess files on their site for different applications. I just need to provide you with the file names for the pictures and you can write the script for the file, correct?

.htaccess is half the battle. .htaccess can be used to do lot of stuff on an apache webserver. The mod-rewrite commands in .htaccess file is what can allow one URL like
http://www.allenlacy.com/images/avator.jpg
to actually show different files. If mod-rewrite isn't turned on then the webserver will ignore those commands in a .htaccess file.

I would have to ask them about that. I will start a topic later tonight on the Groupee forums. Allen, do you have a Groupee login account by chance? (It is a global account which works across all Groupee powered boards, which ours technically is not.)

I see you haven't had a chance to try the code I sent you. Johnnie and I got a similar set of code running on Wannago main page. It changes more than once a month but uses the same idea.
