Seen the T-shirt

Of course it is just a version of
Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger -- JRR Tolkien.

Of course I like this Version

Heh yup, Allen, that phrase or variant has been all over the place. Seen it countless times, but didn't know about the t-shirt.

Still classic, nonethless. (I wasn't going to ref tolkien, but glad you did).

We discussed something very similar today....NEVER piss off a geek. A jock can give you a black eye or a broken bone, but a geek can absolutely, totally ruin your world.

Despair.com has some very good quotes like those two above I suggest checking them out.

"Not all those who wander are lost"
--J.R.R. Tolkien

I ran across the above a while back and adopted it. Not sure if it's really from Tolkien. I usually check but laziness got the best of me. I like it for both the tie with geocaching and as a statement on the last 25+ years of my life.

Other favorites:

"If I had murdered my wife instead of marrying her I'd be paroled by now!"
- Anonymous

"Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)

I guess that last one really kicks the Leave No Trace folks in the nuts. Ha, I'd like to see 'em argue with Emerson!

And being a lawyer I really enjoy:

"This policy does not cover any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly by fire caused by any enemy attack by armed forces, including action taken by military, naval, or air forces in resisting an actual or an immediately impending enemy attack, invasion, insurrection, rebellion, revolution, civil war, usurped power, or order of any civil authority. Additionally, losses are not covered if they are the result, directly or indirectly, of nuclear reaction, nuclear radiation, or radioactive contamination."

Yeah, that one is real. I forget the product it was attached to and I know I haven't bought any Stinger missles in years...
