I'm interested in applying for a Georgia Prestige license plate. The form gives you a place to list your top 6 preferences. Does anyone know if there is a list available that shows what's already taken. I'm just wondering if my Top 6 choices are already being used by someone.

It sounds like they charge me to process the form even if none of my choices are available or for some reason not allowed.

If you've had experience getting a prestige license place, I would appreciate hearing about any pitfalls to avoid.

When I got my prestige plate I just dropped in at the DMV and they plugged in the computer what I wanted. I was lucky and got my first choice. The DMV told that you can also go to their web site and search yourself. Good luck.

The only problem I ran into was that they charged me when I initially ordered it, but then they didn't produce the thing until the following tag year cycle, and charged me the extra fee a second time.
