I thought some other Georgia cachers may be interested in a program I have gotten involved with. CERT stands for Community Emergency Response Team. During this program you learn emergency response such as fire suppression, disaster medical treatment, chain saw operation and search and rescue. This class is designed to teach skills to citizens so they can help law enforcement and other emergency personnel in the event of any kind of emergency. The class meets once a week for 10 weeks. I am almost finished with the class. It has been a lot of fun and very informative.

There will be a new CERT class starting September 11 at the Peachtree City Police Department. There is a link with information and application on the Peachtree City Police Department web site if anyone is interested.
