I don't really know anything about this festival but thought it looked interesting:

2nd Annual Hummingbird Festival August 11-12.

I went last year and I think I made a post here about it. I also mentioned it in my sunflower festival post.

It is a wonderful little festival. My advice is go early because for $1.00 you can put your name in a jar and if they pull your name you get to hold the hummingbird after they are done measuring it etc. Sometimes those little hummers flew right off and sometimes they sat on peoples hands for a full minute.

Last year there was no cost to get in but a parking fee of $5 which went to the hummingbird society. Plus the area they have it in looks like it is going to be turned into a historic site or something-very interesting.

I never saw so many hummingbirds in one garden before
