I wanted to express my thanks to all the folks that waited for hours and hours in the early voting lines so that I could spend little time in line to vote today.
I can't wait to see the news tonight regarding the voting lines today. When did you vote and how long did you wait in line when you voted? I voted today, got there at 7 AM and waited just under one hour. Lines were already thinning down when I left. (By the way, keep it light and don't say who you voted for. Just when and how long you waited is good enough.) |

Lost Mountain Middle in Cobb.
In line at 10:30. Finished voting at 10:45. Maybe 20 people in line when I arrived; 30 when I left. Bookie spent 2 hours 45 minutes at Booth Ward on Friday. Thank you early-voters. PS: I have heard from others that lines are 2 hours at some polling locations in the metro area. |

Forsyth
I voted about a month ago. I walked right up the steps to the court house and had no wait. My house is the neighborhood spot today to drop your kids while you vote. The lines in South Forsyth are running about an hour to an hour and a half. That is from the time your drop you kid, then back to pick them up. My 13 year olds decided this is the way they wanted to spend their day off from school. They are not old enough to vote but this is making them feel as if they are part of this election. Lisa |

Okay, I was going to say I hate you all
I tried to do the early voting but the one day I could try, the line was way too long and I didn't have time to stay. So I got in line this morning at 5:00 am. I was the first person in line. |

Okay, you can hate me, mertat. I was all prepared for an adventure - I had my iPod all loaded with hours of stuff to entertain me while I waited at my intown Atlanta precinct. But I just walked up, walked in, voted, and walked out. Seven minutes, tops.
Now I'll use my unexpected free time to vote on the GGA calendar. "Persistence overcomes stupidity." |

Jason voted this morning early, he was in line at 6:45a and voted at about 7:30a so not too bad.
I voted later out of the car at 1:00p and back in the car at 1:20p, I even stopped to talk to our former neighbor in that time. I only had about 5 people in front of me. Because our polling place is in our gated subdivision, it is really only busy in the morning and the afternoon, before and after work times. Only the residents of this subdivision vote here. |

Well, I was determined to vote today, but would have had minimuse in tow unless I got up early enough to be in line and then back home in time for izzy~bel to get to her classes. That said, I arrived at my polling place at 4:45 and waited for over two hours for the poll to open. I was sixth in line, so was feeling smug at 7:15 when I was leaving. Izzy~bel went on over and stood in line like a normal person and was back home within two hours. She called me laughing at 12:10 to tell me there were only two people outside the door as she drove past. So Funny - Ha Ha.
Here is a weird story though. As we were sitting there in the dark this morning - maybe around 6:00, I noticed folks turning left into the park - which isn't unusual because many folks use the walking track early for exercise. Anyway, I just noticed cars just running up on each other a lot quicker than I would be comfortable with when I drive (believe it or not to those who have witnessed my freeway driving). I made a statement that we would see an accident occur by the time the polls open. About two seconds later, we all witnessed a minivan rear-end an SUV. Luckily nobody was injured, but if it had been several hundred years earlier, I might have been burned at the stake for witchery. Cache, responsibly..... |

Peaches and I voted at Mashburn Elem School in Forsyth County. Got there at 10:20 finished at 10:30. Two other voters with about 20 empty machines.
Bonus, Starbucks was giving away free coffee and Sonic a free hamburger. It's a matter of degrees |

All I got was a Starburst mint, 3 Cheetos and a small cup of Sprite. I 'passed' on the homemade poundcake - I didn't know her, and she looked kinda terroristic. Anyway, now the Attorney General is looking into the possibility of the 'freebies' rewarding voters as being illegal. Get rid of the evidence, T3! |

I got in line at the Lake Wildwood Clubhouse about 8:10 am and was out by 8:30 am. Even thou I don't live in Lake Wildwood, Bibb County has me driving by one polling place to vote at another. Talk about a waste of time and gas. The drive not the vote.

In line at the middle school on Williams Lake road in Paulding County at 07:50 and in my car at 09:15. Only about 50 people in line when I left. Should have waited a couple hours and went at 10...oh well.
