Yep - Cleveland has been out of gas since Thursday, and 'Big.Boy' is well below a 1/4 tank. Guess I'll have to ride the bicycle for a couple of weeks until the 'Fear Factor' plays out and gas is more readily available.
The problem is that when gas is available, everyone rushes in to 'top off', which is the worst thing you can do for the supply chain. By the time that regular workers get a chance to look for some before/after work hours - the housewives and students have sucked it all up.

Well from what I have seen in Toccoa you can get gas everyday, but you might not be able to fill up cause a lot of them are only letting you get so much gas, but most of the stations are running out the day they get a load in. Talking to some of the stations they are only getting part of what they would normally and then everyone runs in and tops off. So it makes it hard on us people that only get it when we need it. Though I have heard that one station in town (I know one of the workers there) has gas in his tank, but it is not much, and he has it so he can let his workers get gas to get to and from work. And so that he don't have to pay to have the pumps primed from where it went dry.

Plenty of gas this weekend in Statesboro. Yesterday we took a wandering (GA County Challenge) trip back home from Georgia Southern. There was gas in Swainsboro, Wrightsville, Dublin, Eastman, Hopkinsville, and Cochran. No, we didn't top off in each town. LOL. Finally filled up at Locust Grove exit off I-75. All they had there was regular. After Locust Grove any electronic gas price signs that we saw were set at 0.00.0. From Thornton Road exit off I-20 to west Cobb (20 miles), only one station had gas. A QT at Thornton and Maxham. And it had long lines even after 10:00pm.

It looks like there now is plenty of gas and atlantagasprices and georgiagasprices both show gas stations below $2 a gallon. I had to come into Roswell today and it looks like the cheapest gas between Roswell and Toccoa is $2.179 in Gainesville. It hasn't been this low since about March 2007.

It's $2.15 at QT in Austell.

On Thursday, it was so great to take my $30 allowed every 2 weeks for gas and actually FILL the tank for $27.xx. I have not been able to do that in over a year!
