OK, I know this is WAY off topic, but I'm pretty sure my right knee is about to go completely out on me. Before I'm in a crisis situation looking for an orthopaedist, I was wondering if anyone has a doc they'd recommend as having "done you (or a loved one) right." I'll drive a ways to get to a doctor that does quality work. I can't restore things to the original manufacturer's design specifications, but I'd like to approximate it if possible and just because a doctor THINKS they are good, doesn't mean it is so. If you prefer to e-mail the names to me privately, I'm happy to get them that way as well. brownthrasher at bellsouth dot net.
Thanks in advance for any advice or recommendations. |

Birdies,
The Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital and Clinic in Columbus without a doubt. Their reputation brings in pro athletes from all over the country for treatment there. I have a friend that had a hip replacement there. |

Given your location and proximity to Birmingham... if you want to go with one of the top-end best docs around, look up Dr. James Andrews. He does a *lot* of MLB ballplayers, worked on Michael Jordan, etc.
