Instead of cache hunting I went waterfall hunting.

This is the Toccoa Falls, Click for larger picture.

It was cool both literally and figuratively

That's a pretty picture. Is there a cache near there?

I encountered a little snow in the shady areas on Saturday and Sunday in Cumming and Gainesville. It was nice. Wish there were more. We still have quite a bit of winter ahead of us!

We both had off on MLK day and it was nice and warm so decided to hit the mountains in search of
the Gilmer Cache. Above 2500' on forest service roads there was still 2-3 inches of snow. We never found the correct FS road to get to the Springer Mt. parking lot, but we've been straightened out by Penny and Chaos and will try again after things thaw. We had no right being where we were at 2800+' in a Dodge Intrepid. Got some pix on 35mm, but can't share them here. BTW, Allen, great picture! Looks like a potential candidate for the GGA calendar, or at least framed and hanging on your wall

Just got back tonight from a week trip with family to Northern New Hampshire. Talk about COLD! the lowest temp we were in was MINUS 16 degrees below zero. It never got above 8 degrees in the middle of the day the whole week. Had printed out a few caches in the area to attempt, but was foiled by 8 ft of snow. Couldn't even get close to 'em in the rental car. Crying
I did manage to snag a virtual in Maine and NH, (but couldn't get to the only 1 in Canada I had) so it was not a total loss. It was so cold and windy (45 mph+ - gusts to 72) that the ski trails were closed most of the week. Will share pix when I process them.
Am glad to be back in the balmy 24 degree weather tonight. Big Grin

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
