In the Northwest part of the state there is Magical Nights of Lights at Lake Lanier Islands. It's always nice.

Another good one in the Southeast region is Fantasy In Lights at Callaway Gardens.

For some really good entertainment check out A Stone Mountain Christmas at Stone Mountain Park.
We go to this one every year!
Lot's of Christmas shows, Activities, and Christmas Train Rides around the mountain and they end the night with a Lazer & Christmas Light Show set to music with the mountain as the backdrop.
Definately not something to miss.

Since we are probably going to be coming to the GGA Brunch, we are planning to make a day of it. (If things work out that we can come - the wife is "on call" at the hospital - trying to swap weekends). If so, we'll leave the Brunch, catch some caches in the Stone Mountain area until the gates open around 3:00 and spend the rest of the night there.

As far as private displays there are plenty of those also. (Haven't seen any good ones yet. Aw Nuts!)

This would be a good place to post them!!

OK Folks! See a good light display. Waypoint it and post it here for everyone to check out!

We missed a Christmas light thread last year, but there were threads in 2003 and 2002.
I will link the 2003 one in case some of the coords are still good.
If I can, I'll verify the coords near me in Dacula.

Haven't been to these yet, but my sister went last year and said it was really good. Especially if you've got children.

Pocatello to Lawrenceville.....man! Talk about culture shock!

At least the cache density will likely be an improvement for you.

Welcome. Hope you'll come to some of the meetings and get to know some of the rest of this disreptable group. OK, maybe I'm just talking about myself.

The house in Dacula I mentioned in the previous thread does not appear to have the lights up this time.

Frown DNF

Wow! I almost forgot to log my DNF for this one from Sat.
Wink

The last time we went a couple of years ago we musta just beat the traffic because we went early right at dark.
Since it was predicted to get so cool Sat. night and we have all been fighting off colds, we decided to go here instead of Stone Mtn., so we could stay in the warmth of the car and enjoy the lights too.

Last time we also came in from the Cumming side (I think?) and it was on the first weekend it was open.
But, this time we came up Peachtree Industrial at around 8:30PM and was met with a long line of cars there. After waiting about 20 minutes we finally got to turn off on the road leading to the park.
After sitting in traffic on that road for about another 30 minutes and only moving approx. 1 mile we come to a sign saying the entrance to the park was 2 MILES ahead. Eek
2 MILES until we get there and then another 6+ miles of riding in the lights!!
Uh... NO THANKS!! Thumbs Down Thumbs Down

So unless you have PLENTY of time and like sitting in traffic, I'd highly recommend catching this one earlier in the season and/or earlier night.

Don't know if Life College still does all the lights at Christmas or not. I did find this link if you feel like "playing" with some lights.
