One of the geocaches I liked best included a large rattler. See my log, with picture. Robert's log also has a picture.

Too bad the geocache has been archived.

I haven't seen too many water moccasins around these parts, but here a few pics when I did Charlottes Hideaway in Arkansas. My Mom and I were doing a little caching and I ended up driving over this fella. I didn't hit him, but as you can see he was not too happy about unexpected visitors.

Check out that MOUTH!

Most people call any snake in the water a cotton mouth, but this on is the real deal! Great picture!

Yup, that's the real deal.

Growing up in S. GA in the Okeefenokee, I saw plenty of those. Like Nasty George said, most people call any snake in the water a cotton mouth, but in the wetlands, a cotton mouth was an adult water moccasin who had turned the dark (almost black) color that this fellow is displaying. The younger lighter colored ones were just called moccasins.
It was a local thing.

A geocacher's nighmare: able to find hundreds of hidden boxes all over the world, yet can only find one sock when unloading the clothes dryer.
