Is anyone aware of limits to a geocache's details? Since that is probably completely confusing, I mean: when you're submitting a new cache, how long can the cache name be? How long can the description/hint be? How many decimal minutes can you carry out the lat/long?
And I'm not really asking for Best Practices reasons (like I know a hint should be reasonably short to facilitate in-the-field decrypting); it's because I'm contemplating a cache idea which might bump up against one of those limits if such a limit exists...
I remembered reading something about the limits and the new search engine on groundspeak forums turned it up Length of Cache Description. It mentions the length was 5000 characters which is what I remembered but I am glad I actually re-read it as toward the bottom someone mentions the limit was boosted and they have a 17,000 + characters description. Which I found as Up the Close and Down the Stair
Oh I am pretty sure the cache name and hider's name can be 50 characters, the minutes can only have 3 decimal points (more wouldn't help as regular GPS aren't any more accurate than that).
