Well after after nearly one and a half years worth of talking to the local parks people they gave it the ok!
They would not grant blanket permission so I sent in a list of parks for approval and most came back with the OK!
I just sent an email asking them to provide some sort of documentation of the areas, if we can add area, and about notifications for placing.
These were the main ones that got approval though:
-Central City Park
-Burns Park
-Freedom Park
-East Macon Park
-Washington Park
-North Macon/John Drew Smith Center Trails
There were some questions on a few areas, so there maybe more on the way!

Please note though that you must contact larry.fortson@macon.ga.us to notify of a cache placing. He is sending me a word doc to post on the internet.

Actually.....
It's been a couple or three years since we last communicated with them. In fact 9/11 happened in the middle of their deliberations, and possibly affected their very limited approval of our sport. It might be time to reintroduce ourselves to those fine folks........
