I just need to clarify this so I don't screw anything up.

I have 2 TB's I want to bring to the GGA meeting next Saturday to be used in the Raffle.

I was going to post a note on the event cache this week and place the TB's at that time. I will then bring them to the meeting on Saturday.

Is that the normal procedure? If not what is the normal procedure?

That sounds like it should work fine. Logging a "I'll be there with the TBs" as a note gives you the ability to "place" the TBs on the cache page so the "finder" at the event can move them on.

Yeppers, that will do it. If they are YOUR TB's, you might want to consider entering them in the MLB Travel Bug Race! that Team PEZ, GA Cacher & Team Happy Spider are sponsoring. I hear they will pick up participants at the GGA meeting next weekend.

Thanks for the info. I will get them placed in a bit.

These are just 2 TB's that I found that need to move on and I figured the meeting was as good a place as any to get them moving on their journey.

If they were mine I probably would have considered the TB race but they are not.

thanks phat.bak! yes, as a reminder, we will pick up any travel bug that you want to enter into the race. as long as it is yours, of course.

since we are awarding prizes for most miles, we would prefer to have tb(s) without any mileage. if your tb has some miles on it, we will just deduct the number of miles from the total.

we have entrants from 6 countries and from around the country. but we need you folks to sign up to come to the meeting! you just may walk away with a bug or 2!
