Here's a link to a website where someone is accumulating images of creative Geocache containers taken from many pages on the Groundspeak forums. Save/copy them to your favorite .jpg viewer to get a closer look, some are very 'crafty'.
Granted, some of them question on taste, for example: I'd never disguise a FIRE pull alarm as a cache container unless it was on a tree in the woods. But that's me.
I would encourage everyone to hide one of these examples or upgrade/change an existing one for the sake of the challenge.

Don't say you can't, say you'll try.

I just started Geocaching the 8th of this month. My friend MRMnJewel took me out that Sunday to hunt about 6 cache locations together. The first cache container we found was a fake, hollow rock that looked very real until ya' bent down to turn it over. Now that was for sure a brilliant & creative idea in my book! MRM went on tell me about one he found a while back that was a hollowed out piece of fake dog poop. I don't think I would have found that one.
Now on our final cache site, I was thinking along the lines of apeterbilt75's last post about the ant hill. I asked MRM if someone would use a fake ant hill since we couldn't locate the supposed "ammo box". He said, "Nah." But, I kicked it anyways... It was just an ant hill. So, I'd kick an ant hill just to check... But, I don't think I'd try tappin' on a cache that was placed in a fake hornet's nest though. Ain't Skeered... Just a judgment call! I love the challenge!
WELCOME TO THE HUNT CACHEONLY75!!!yeah one of these days you might kick one it go "thump",but till then careful and shake your boots good!!!i've tried alot of ways to make red dirt stay and even painting it,just cant match that good ole Georgia dirt.if ya create it,let me know how ,and i will likewise. HAVE FUN!!!
Tampa?! Look out, Pilgrim ... we have some of the most dastardly hiders in the Southeast. Just ask ~erik, Owl, T3, Smooth, Sparc, Mtn-mam, TMan, YJacket, the Lacy's ... and too many more to mention. Don't step too deep.
