This meeting was held at the brand new Kenwood Park in Fayette County. In attendance were 17 new members under 13 geonicks and 38 old members under 30 geonicks. These brave cachers faced the snow flurries and the chilling wind to come out and enjoy a wonderful presentation about non-native invasive species of plants/animals in Georgia given by John Taylor. The presentation was very informative and he had many supporting brochures and booklets about plant species so cachers can identify them. After that everyone enjoyed the wonderful warm apple cider brought by Mertat and a prize raffle. We then had an informal round table type discussion about proactive communication with law enforcement and land managers lead by GA-Kayaker. The meeting then broke up and people headed out to find caches in the park or to warm up in their cars. The April meeting will be at Unicoi State Park in Helen. Hope to see everyone there.
