This month the GGA took a break from the traditional program and had an event just to socialize. Everyone met for a wonderful breakfast buffet at the Golden Corral in Macon. In attendance were around 45 people including 33 existing members under 27 geonicks and 6 new members under 4 geonicks.

There was food, food and more food. Cachers had a chance to talk shop, compare notes and battle wounds from the trail. We were even lucky enough to have one raffle item a special 2007 Groundspeak Lackey coin that was won by Harelips.

We look forward to seeing everyone for a great meeting in January at beautiful Callaway Gardens.

Great meeting and thanks for the coin. Someone mentioned making this a "moveable" coin, I believe in jest. I have thought about it and think this is a good idea. You can't own the coin anyway, so why not? The coin is turned in at each meeting and raffled off again. The cacher can log its travels during the month and get it back to the next meeting. No restrictions on how many times you can win, just that you must be a GGA member. I'm willing to give it up as long as it is made clear that the coin is a GGA prize to be returned each month. Any thoughts?

Okay! Consider it done. The Geocoin goes up for raffle again next month. As much as it can be, we will consider it a GGA Traveling Coin.
Basic Rules:
1. Coin is returned at the next GGA Meeting. If a person cannot make it, it is their responsibility to pass it or send it to someone who is. If all else fails, car breaks down, illness, etc. and the person cannot make it to the GGA meeting, the raffle will be held and arrangements will be made to get it to the winner.
2. GGA members only are eligible. Must be at the meeting to win but no restrictions on number of wins. In other words, winner of previous month is eligible at the next meeting.
3. Winner will log coin through as many caches as they can during the month.
4. Photos welcome.

Doesn't just being at the meeting qualify one for instant membership? Suggestion: eligible contestants must be GGA members for at least one month (or one meeting cycle).
