I am very excited to share a geocaching event that may be of interest to you. October 3rd, 4th and 5th the Chattahoochee Valley Cachers will hold a camping event at West Point Lake. Saturday we will be hosting a geocaching CITO event from 10 am until 12:00 noon to help clean up the lands around the lake. The CITO event is being held in conjunction with the National Public Lands Day. This event is open to the public. With that in mind our geocaching group and the West Point Rangers not only wanted to clean up the area but also to inform the public and other geocachers of different outdoor activity groups and nearby points of interest. Presentations and information tables will be set up from 1:00 until 3:00.

My goal, as a geocacher, is to introduce different geocachers and geocaching groups from various areas to one another. Who hasn't planned a weekend trip or vacation to an area based on geocaching? This is a great forum and opportunity to introduce fellow cachers to must see caches and local points of interest in your area.
