I thought this was a clever idea...

From California...

The BREEDER CACHE with CACHE LARVAE

The concept: A cache is placed, the BREEDER CACHE. One of the items in the cache is another smaller cache container, ready to be placed, the CACHE LARVAE. People who find the BREEDER CACHE are invited to take the CACHE LARVAE and hide it as a new cache in an outstanding location that they know of. The cache hider replaces the CACHE LARVAE from time to time.

I think it would be a great idea. If you indeed implement this, make sure you put the coordinates to the "mother cache" so that cachers can visit both.

Re: I thought this was a clever idea...

This would be great for the guys who have found all the local caches, and like to place new ones....they could place new ones in the breeder, then wait for the larvae caches to get placed elsewhere, let them get visited a bit so as to have new items in them, then go after the cache....some of the people out there who are slow to get around to hiding them (me) would have half their job done for them presumably making it easier to do! Genius!
