A couple of weeks ago a friend was sending me a latch via UPS. What arrived instead was a wierd metal contraption. It seems that at least 2 packages broke open, and the driver put this in my package instead of the latch.
UPS paid the claim for the latch, but I still have this gadget, which I'm thinking of making into a large TB. Does anyone have an idea what this thing is? It appears that if some sort of (hydraulic?) fluid is pumped in the bottom that three nozzles in the bulbous head will cause the head to rotate, thus distributing the fluid. |

Not positive, but isn't that one of those items that were objected to in an earlier thread along with religious tracts and firearms?? Only, yeah, this one looks like it might be hydraulic.

Looks like an artificial knee joint to me.
Man would I be upset if I was expecting an artificial knee joint and got a latch. ----- |

Turns out to be a hydraulic nozzle for cleaning sewer pipes and water mains.

The combination of JB's speculation and the actual purpose of this gadget has given me a great idea for a new product. Now if I can just beat JB to the patent office.
