Greetings from Loganville, everyone! Big Grin I'm new...both to this forum and to geocaching in general. In fact, I haven't even found a single cache yet (though I've had two failed attempts at doing so right before Christmas, LOL!) Roll Eyes So I am the newest newbie you could possibly find, LOL! Fool Laugh Santa-Hubby got me a Magellan GC for Christmas, and this weekend, somewhere along the way, I'm headed out there to find the ones I couldn't find pre-Magellan. Wink I've been reading Geocaching.com forums and watching GeoSnippets videos obsessively all week, LOL, and am really looking forward to getting started hunting. Smile

I am planning to be at the January meeting with one of my teenagers (both of them if hubby doesn't have to work; otherwise, they are drawing straws as to which one gets babysitting duty, LOL).

Anyway, just wanted to pop by and introduce myself and say hi. Big Grin Looking forward to meeting everyone! dancegrin

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen (St. Francis of Assisi)

Welcome to the group, and to geocaching. Be careful though, I hear it can get addictive!

Have fun!

Thanks! I think I'm already hooked...the two I couldn't find (pre-Magellan) have been driving me positively BATTY. I'm hoping I can get home from work while there's still enough daylight for me to find the one at the end of my street. (the fact that it's RIGHT THERE is driving me nuts, LOL!) - of course, I've said that every day this week, and no luck so far. LOL!

I'm always up for new adventures (living the rather routine and sedate life of being a Mom and Secretary)and seeing new places and such...so i'm really gonna enjoy this. Smile

Welcome to geocaching and welcome to forums!

Good luck finding that closest to home cache. The only that was closest to our house took us 3 times to find, once with out a GPS, no luck and then twice after we got a GPS. It was a tough hide. Smile It felt good to finally find it and mark it off.

Welcome to the GGA and geocaching. I too am new to Georgia but not new to geocaching. Moved here from Maine this past spring and am loving it here. Work has consumed most of my free time so far but also have met some great geocachers at an event and looking forward to more events as time will allow. Welcome to the addiction. Hopefully we can meet in the future as well. Haffy

Thanx all, for the warm welcome. Smile I look forward to getting to know everyone, and seeing y'all on Saturday. (Keeping fingers crossed that Real Life doesn't interfere with me being there and throw an unexpected monkey wrench into my plans, as it so loves to do, LOL!)
