| Blind Hog |
My first GPS was a Garmin Plus III. I got it before geocaching came along. I use it for cross country bicycling. I got it soon after I learn it would use and show maps. One day I was putting out a new cache deep in the North Georgia hills, on the long hike out I was bush wacking off a high mountain and heard a wild hog fight, and ran like a deer, falling once in some vines, When I got to the car, my gps was missing, and it was getting dark. Went back in a few days with a friend and we found where I fell, but the hogs had eaten my GPS. I had to learn to cache hunt with maps and stuff till I got my new one. now that is my story. ------------------------------------------- Adventure Before Dementia. ..

We have a Magellan Triton and don't like it. We bought the Explorist and it broke so they sent the Triton, we want to go back to the Explorist. We use the iPhone as a back up but I have never been able to find a non-skitlifter cache with the iPhone alone. We have a car Nuvi but have never used it for caching, in fact we have never entered just coords into it.

OK... I did a very quick summary of the comments that were left. A quick 3 ½ day poll on the GGA forums Revealed that 68% of the members who voted use a Garmin GPS. Summary of Comments: Of those people who left comments (14) – • 50% - prefer / use / own the GPSMap 60csx. • 71% - use a PDA or Smartphone as a Backup / Paperless option • 36% - have a dedicated car GPS ----------------------- Quality Over Quantity!!! -----------------------
