Hi Guys,
Just wondering if you can recommend a few caches in the Warner Robbins area, I'll be coming over from Ireland in October and hope to find one or two lunch boxes Smile

Number 1 cache in Middle Georgia is Friar Tuck Cache (GCMPRC) in Macon, which is near Warner Robins. Contact me and I will be happy to give you a list of Middle Ga caches within whatever radius of Warner Robins you want.

Hey Windsocker!

Enjoy your stay in Georgia. Hopefully you'll be here late enough in October that our hot and humid days will be over. Sorry that Warner Robins is outside my geocaching area, and that I can't recommend any specific caches there. Have fun though!

You just pull 'em off and keep going. It's the 13 pounders in the far reaches of Crawford County that you have worry about. Wink Big Grin Laughing

Big Grin It is just a neighboring rural county (about 30 miles) from Warner Robins. The local joke is that in the more remote parts the ticks get to be 13 pounders. Big Grin There is a very good historically base virtual cache there..."George Washington Knows Me".

It's no joke. I have one stuffed and on my wall. What I don't care for is the chiggers. They really get under your skin.

CharlieP waits for someone to bring up the subject of snakes. Roll Eyes

While waiting, I will mention something positive about our state. October is one of the best times of the year for geocaching-friendly weather. Smile

And if you are interested in airplanes, the museum at Robins AFB is fantastic, and I think there is at least one geocache there.

Yep, the cache is still there. It's a virtual, but it looks like a good one. The bookmarks show that the Late Great Rebel considered it one of the best in Georgia.

I haven't been in the area of museum at Robins AFB since geocaching started, but it was fantastic. When I lived in Albany Ga which is a good deal south of Warner Robins, the ticks weren't too bad, but the local saying was that the mosquitoes came in two sizes, the ones small enough to go through screen wire doors and those big enough to open them.
