Hi All :

I am trying to reach past finders of the View Carre' cache in New Orleans to let them know there is a new coin dedicated to the cache and city. Details are below.
I'd also like to thank the Georgia caching community for some great times caching in Georgia including Atlanta, Stone Mountain, Savannah, etc. Coming down Stone Mountain after a heavy rain was quite an experience...its like the worlds biggest water slide.

We have designed, and Aaron at Coins and Pins has produced, a geocoin with a
New Orleans-French Quarter Theme in 3 dimension including an image of the View
Carre' cache. I know I'm being partial, but its one of the nicer coins I've seen
( and I can hardly pick up my geocoin collection ). This has been a very popular
cache with over 600 visits by approx. 2000 cachers and muggles. The different
thing about this coin is it will only be available only to those who visit ( or
have visited) the View Carre'....limit of one per cacher. I will give away a
min. of one per month but they will be available for purchase at $8.00....they
come in polished gold and polished nickle. Pictures of the coin can be seen at h

> I will put this notice on sites I frequent in an attempt to reach past
finders. This is a NON-PROFIT venture......any surplus will be put into the
cache.
> I'm not in to marketing or mailing.......any one desiring a coin send me $10.00
cash along with your address, cacher name,
and what kind of coin you want ( limit one per cacher )....DON'T ORDER IF YOU
HAVEN'T FOUND THE CACHE (I will email your cacher name to verify visit) There's
a post office in the building so your coin will leave right away.
The coins are trackable and have their own icon.

Either I get a coin or I'll archive all of your caches.
That will take a while, but what the heck.

That is a link to the cache. I will have to coax my brothers into taking a trip down there when we go back to NOLA in two weeks. I have not been to that one yet.

Hey, MM ... sign my name while you are there... Up To No Good
Seriously, this cache has been on my to-do list for quite some time, now. Unfortunately, every time I go down now, we wind up cleaning up debris ...
I'll get there sooner or later.

This is one cache that had even caught Tarvol's attention before Katrina....would love to have one of the coins and plan to somehow get there to do the cache.... simply because I love the City from my past visits and this cache seems intriguing. If your rules don't allow me to obtain a coin, no problem I understand. I still intend on making it to the cache. Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last time I was in NOLA I could only cache at night, and this one eluded me. Oh well, maybe next time...

Visited this great cache for #700 this morning. I was given a personal tour by Henry of Team Bamboozle and bought one of the coins - very cool.

That is very cool, Prof. I, and SWMBO, will be down May 3-6, but don't forsee being able to get to NOLA. (We will be in Slidell/crawfish boil/Bogalusa/golf course/Gulfport)
Oh well, I should at least be able to get a cache somewhere.
