Can you believe the buzz about the November meeting at Skidaway Island? "Going Coastal" is going to be a good one. Thanks to all who have worked so hard to get this going.

My room reservation has certainly been made. This should be one great time. I second the sentiment about all the hard work that has gone into this event!

Never thought about making a room reservation so early. Seems like a great idea. I have ordered my pre-registration package. Seems like a great value. The chance to win an Oregon 550 is awesome!

We have reserved our campsite at Skidaway for the weekend (don't want to miss any of the action! ).

There is a total of 87 campsites with 62 available this morning. $28/night for RV & campers and $25/night for tents. We have stayed in the park several times; we think it is one of the most beautiful in the state.

Thanks to The Waysiders for announcing this event last night at the CVC Event in Fort Payne. Believe there will be attendees that will now head for Skidaway, myself included. Gonna try to make it!

hey phat, welcome to the club. I scheduled a wedding around family being able to travel in, only to realize 2 weeks later it was the second saturday of the month. then 3 weeks later the details started coming out. boy do I feel left out now, I'm glad she's worth it!!.

David and I have made our reservations at LaQuinta and are ready to go. Can't wait to see everyone again if we don't get to visit with any of you beforehand.

Just realized today that I'm off on the 11th and that is an early release day from school for Sam. Me thinks I'll add a day to my LaQuinta reservation and head on down on Thursday evening! YAY!

me thinking, I will be hiting the camp ground at Skidaway Thursday.

I'm thinking Wednesday night. After calling it's a shame we didn't get the group rate, I think we qualify.

I just called and added the 11th to my reservation and for a $49 rate (best available) for that night.

Are there no more rooms at the group rate? I thought they would add more, as needed?

At the time I called, there wasn't a group... am I missing the boat?

Go to the Going Coastal page (link from event page) and use the phone number and group number referenced. The rate prior to Friday should be $49 best available. I got a king bed for that rate.
