If work and the weather cooperate, we might make the trek for this event. Since we're about 150 miles away and will have to spend the night, where do folks stay? At the Inn, Columbus, etc? I don't think I have been to this place since I was a teenager.

Last year we stayed at FDR State Park.

Callaway has the Inn, which is very nice and has a great breakfast buffet, and also cottages, though they a bit pricey in my opinion. There is camping and also cabins at FDR state park. And there is a Days Inn in Pine Mtn that we've stayed at a couple times. nothing fancy but it's clean and reasonable.

If there is National Forest areas near by, you can camp for free if it's not a formal campground ie made for camping with facilites. :-)

If you are in to camping, the camping at FDR state parks is great. We stayed there back in July. It was very clean, peaceful, and great views.

My wife and I were there this last weekend and we stayed in Lagrange, GA. It's only twenty something minutes from Callaway and a little cheaper.

Word has it that there will be some more caches at Callaway by the time we get there.

I will do my best to keep the bookmark list on the cache page updated as rapidly as possible.

I'm looking forward to some new cachin'!!!

If I am interpreting the admission fees on Callaway's site correctly, there is no admission charge for the months of January and February. Can anyone confirm this?

If I am correct on the numbers, we, the Chattahoochee Valley Cachers hid 9 new caches for the GGA weekend. We hope to have them published Friday night, except for at least one that will be a FTF door prize. And I saw the course today. Gonna be a good day with fun for all. yahoo

That area is in my standard notification area so I will try to add them as they come in. I will be on the move tonight but will update as soon as I get home, around 6 am on saturday and agin about 9am. I think I will keep it as a permanent list after the event!

The bookmark list has been updated. 48 caches inside Callaway Gardens for our hunting pleasure.

Actually it's 39, 1 cache is saved as a FTF opportunity in the door prize drawing.
