I checked my watch list when I got home form my weekend job and 'lo and behold' - there was a Johnnie coin 10 miles away. See my post. Thanx, guys!

I left 3 of mine up that way, and one in that cache too, last weekend.

Phat, that's 1 of 3. There should be one in desoto between falls and helton creek falls also. Now stop your blubbering. I can't stand to see a grown pig cry Wink

OK - I'll quit playing on your sympathy. I see that Helton Creek has been visited since you dropped one off. It should be there, according to the logs. Your Desoto log didn't mention a coin? Maybe I can get off early tommorrow ...

Talk about timing!! Eek

I've got a nice long piece of white oak that I've been wittling on when I get a chance to make me a hiking staff.
I was just at Wally World tonight and picked up a can of clear polyurethane to coat it with.
Was planning on putting on the first coat tomorrow, but I'm definately waiting now!!

Hopefully there will still be some left by the time the August meeting in Buford rolls around, so I can get some!!

Don't forsee myself getting down around Cobb County between now and then, but If I do, I'll give you a shout!!

Can I reserve a few Question

Now the GGA has its own custom designed Hiking stick Medallion,
The unique scene on this medallion was crafted by a European master
engraver according to our design specification.
Produced by the GGA Steering Committee.

You can get yours from Johnnie at any Meeting or Event.
These unique medallions will serve as a great mementos of your Geocaching experience.
They also make good Geocaching trade items, so I'm sure you will want to get a few, before
we sell out of this first limited supply.
I predict these medallions will become collectable by geocachers much like the coins.
The GGA will be one of the first Associations in the country to have its own Medallion.

The cost will $ 4.50 each.
purchase 10 and get one free.
This is a non-profit adventure.

I will have the hiking stick medallions at the Aug. GGA meeting Sat. the 13th.
Get yours now. I will be offering them to non-members and members after this meeting.
They will be going nation wide and will go fast.
Johnnie~

Johnnie kindly donated the remaining medallions to the Georgia Geocachers Association. I'll bring the bag of 'em to the Saturday GGA meeting. You can buy as many as you want for $5 each. The proceeds will be used to help pay for future meeting pavilion rental and other GGA operating expenses.

I was going to get a few from Erik tomorrow myself. Someone has written to the SC email account asking for a few. They sell a mailer at the post office that is perfect for them. I was simply going to charge them the cost of the mailer and the cost of postage. We are not shipping them for free. I was going to get one of the mailers at lunch today ironically. Maybe I will buy a couple and give one to Erik, or if qattales wants to post here I could mail them. I am going to ask that people pay my paypal account first though before mailing them.

Tell you what...I bought a pack of mailers when I only needed 1. I'll bring you a couple for the special going rate...tomorrow only...absolutely free. I will put them in the car so they will not be forgotten. I sent a coin to a fellow geocacher and it worked perfectly, so it should work for the medallions as well. They are bubble wrapped inside.
