Anyone else not receiving their PQs? I have a 150 Nearest Home query set up to be sent to me 7 days a week and the last one I received arrived on 8/20 at 2am. (And I haven't changed any of the criteria. And I just checked it again in case anything had been magically changed, but it had not.)

TIA- AndymanD

I have had the same problem too. There are topics in the "Geocaching.com Discussion" area of the Groundspeak forums. I took yesterday and today off specifically to go caching, and a week old PQ burned me yesterday on a cache (it was gone).

A trick that was discussed in the forums is to delete one of your existing PQ's (if you have five already) and create a new PQ. I did that and I had my new one come in within about 30 minutes. I used it today! Give that a try. I deleted my first PQ which was number 76! I had one of the first ones and deleted it!!! Ack!

Give that a try and good luck.

PQ = Pocket Query

Same as the topic of this thread? Wow, I would have never figured that out! Roll Eyes I'm just kidding. Big Grin

However, I was hoping for a little more explanation. But, if there are any other newbies reading these posts and are curious, I found an explanation pocket queries here:

Ok, that didn't work. The image used was 75 pixels by 75 pixes at a resolution of 75 pixels/inch.

Any idea why its not working?

Your avatar link is:

http://c:/Documents%20and%20Settings/All%20Users/Documents/My%20Pictures/Misc%20Images/Artsy%20Photos/Nature/Fawna/DSC02486-avatar.jpg (Don't click this link, it doesn't go anywhere Wink )

The file is being linked from your computer. You do have to have it on the web somewhere. If you have web space somewhere you would need to upload it to there and link it from there. One solution is to upload it to the geocaching site as you avatar there and then use the link to that avatar here too. You do that on your profile 'edit' page on GC.com.

I have entertained hosting avatars for members of the GGA but have not discussed it with other Steering Committee members. They don't eat a lot of bandwidth so it should not be a huge deal but we would have to discuss it first.

By the way, it should be 72 pixels per inch too.

Photography is a hobby of mine, so its nice when I get a compliment on one of my photo's. Even more so when the complimentor doesn't know that I was the photographer!

I didn't meet this guy (actually a lady) on the trail. She was actually living on our outdoor break area patio at work. She was so impressive that the employees started feeding her live grasshoppers every day. She got huge. They mistakenly named her "Boris", but I later changed to "Natasha". I don't think any of the employees are old enough to understand why I chose Natasha to their Boris. Frown

Anyway, thanks for the compliment!

Well a few years back at my parents house they had a large one at there front door (witch is not used). And right now I have a small one here at my house in the flowers my mother planted near my side door. If I think about it I will take a picture of her and post it.

Like Robert said, I love that avatar too. I'm always glad to see photographers within the GGA. Get some photos out on the cache hunt! We are coming around the corner on our 2004 calendar.

FYI... my pocket queries have all come in today. I had three set for GA and all made it. I hope that the other members had the same success.

I haven't seen any of them in years! Most of the new stuff out today kinda stinks if you ask me. But, I'm sure there is a forum somewhere to discuss cartoons!
