I just checked on Kanati Stone #2 and it's definetely gone. Kanati Stone #4 final GCP12R may or may not be in place,, but it would be impossible to do without #2 and #3..

What I've done with caches that have been placed on this list and they look like they are not available is post a note stating as such on the cache page. If the owner hasn't been on line for a very long time, I've posted "needs archiving". The general results were, if the owner is interested they will respond and make the necessary changes. Those cache owners didn't seem to mind after understanding their cache is on a "hit" list that is published on the GGA forums. Owners that are not interested in geocaching anymore had their cache archived. As a result of this archiving, there is a small percentage of geocachers that look for past finders to seek information on how to find the cache to rescue any trackables and containers.

Do you think this is a good method for keeping this top ten list doable?

We were the last ones to find this one almost 3 years ago. The cache is still right where we left it. Talked to CO few days ago and he says it was recently found by non-cachers! Mr. Atlas says let him know if you want a boat ride, he'll take you to the island in exchange for free beer LOL Laughing

GCzx1j - GI Joe's Lost Ammo Can.

that cache was originally placed by Rebel. there was some technical difficulties with it and it got archived last year. But happily rebelJedi who adopted it was able to get it back on line and in time for the chili cook-off too!

then some Newbie has come in and says he can't find it and that he's "not impressed". So nobody has gone back out to get it.

I know that RebelJedi put a lot into getting this back up and running... and to have some pre-K-cacher poo on it kind of upset me.

So if someone would go out and show that baby-cacher how to find a cache... I would truly appreciate it.

I would do it if I weren't 100+ miles away. If it's not found by april 30th ... then I'll certainly do it then.

It's only 70 miles for me... Totally painless find, I'm not sure why it has not been found more. Very cool area to say the least. More caches needs to be placed in the area.

Thanks Asgoroth for your work on the list... #4 can be removed now.

I saw this cache GC2TVKZ in TN and it reminded me of the top 10 caches here in GA that haven't been found in a while. I'm not much into challenges, but thought I would pass it along for anyone that caches up in TN too.

I was wondering how one would learn how long a cache sat before finding it without looking at each cache's page and when I found it.

Being a 4/5 and that close to a city, you would think it would be hit rather more often. Heck, looks like an inner tube would do just fine to access in the warm weather.
