<rant> I just got my weekly cache notification email (seems to not come so weekly anymore). I noticed something interesting at the top. There is a new cache in town called Kohl'd Hard Cache - Macon. I found this odd because there is also a cache at the Kohl's called Kohl'd Hard Cache - Micro. I looked them up on the GC.com map and sure enough the older one is still active and it meets the .1 mile rule. The difference in the caches is that one is in the Kohl's parking lot(original one) and the new one is on the sign at the entrance way. Come on now have we gotten so lazy that we have to use the same cache name, and some one else cache spot to hide them? IMicros have never really bothered me because they havent been a problem down here, but this is a little ridiculous. I would understand if all the other stores in the area had caches on them, but they dont. There 3 or 4 other caches in the area, but they are no where near the Kohl's. Come on we are killing our sport. I know, I know it falls in with the GC.com guidelines for approval, its just a fact of how ridiculous of a placement it was. </rant>

We own the Kohl'd Hard Cache-Micro, it was place in September. It was our 1st placement. Unknown to us another cacher had been using the Kohl'd Hard Cache name up in Atlanta. I guess he was down here in Macon this week and decided to place a cache for his series here too. He feels that now instead of one cahe to get now other cachers can get a two-fer.....
Yeah, Bush Bob places the Kohl'd Hard Cache series all over the upper 1/3 of GA. He's been doing so for awhile and probably has at least 10 caches using that name. My guess is maybe he had no clue the other one was there? Otherwise, I dunno.

Yes he knew the cache was there, he logged a find. I could careless on the name thing. PoSam, i thought you guys did good with the name and the items in the cache suites it well. Anyways thats not my point, the point Im trying to make is why place a cache at the same exact store, when there are 1000s of other good spots not at the same store but within .2 miles.

It seems pretty simple to me. AG stated that Bush Bob was just continuing his series of Kohl'd Hard Caches. Before long we'll probably see one at the Kohl distribution center between Warner Robins and Macon. I plan on hunting both of them this weekend since we have to go there to pick up a gift certificate.

Email him and ask him. You're asking us to speculate why he did this. The only way to get the real answer is to ask him yourself

I really don't have a problem with caches of similar names or even fairly near each other. To each their own.
What I do find ridiculous is this guy. I've got Cone Z on my watch list and find it interesting that he can be in Alabama, Alaska, Antartica, Afganistan, etc., on the same day. Hope he doesn't run completely through the alphabet.
I'm just not gonna comment on the parking lot and sign micro caches. And Rebel, I had to laugh at your post ... you don't have to look that far away to see some of the same shenanigans. To each his own ... I'm staying in the mountains for now.
