Hi! I'm trying to find a couple of good caches to take my 4-year old out on in the Macon/Warner Robins area. With the explosion of caches around here, it's hard to hunt through everything and find which ones might actually be out in the woods (or something similar), as opposed to a lot of them which are in Suburbia. Don't get me wrong, we enjoy those too, but I'd like to get her out into the woods hunting around.

First choice in Macon would be Friar Tuck...in the middle of Macon, but you would know believe that such a place with such beautiful untouched trees could be there...there is another cache back in the woods there about 550 feet away. My Forest of the Flint cache is between Marshallville and Montezuma...if you are lucky the trillium will be blooming.....one of the few places on earth where they do.....A Little Piece of Heaven on Lake Juliette is great as well as Rum Creek cache on Lake Juliette.

A Little Piece of Heaven may be a long hike for a 4 year old though.

There is also the Ocmulgee River Trail. This was a fun hike. There is also a puzzle cache on the same trail called "So sue me". Both are worth the hike. Also, if your into virtuals, Swamp Fever is pretty cool.

Hey there Im obviously new here, this is my first post but I wanted to reply and say that I really enjoyed Dope Hill Forest. We are planting some and are planning on putting some out in the woods. We actually went last weekend to put out one and found 2 abandoned puppies on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. So we didnt get to hide it that day. Its waiting for us to hide it though.
