If someone asked me to describe the “Going Coastal” event at Skidaway Island, I would have to say; it was a simultaneous “First to Find” experience for 300-400 people. The levels of commitment, planning, execution, professionalism, dedication and presentation of Team Skidaway were remarkable.

The “Moon Dust” event widened the eyes of children, brightened the smiles of adults and enhanced the parameters of future caching events. Imagine, one singular idea, presented in such a fashion, that it will be read about around the world, and you were there to experience it first-hand. Thanks LZ33

To the many individuals and teams who made Going Coastal the success it was, I offer my heart-felt thanks. Each of you has set the new standard.

What more can I say? Oh, by the way. TFTEvent! Fire343

Waysiders: The preregistration package, banner, tent and presentation at Going Coast set the initial tone for the event and catapulted it to the success it was. Thanks to each of you.

Now that I have attended my 1st GGA event I can now officially say this was the best event I have attended since I started caching back in Maine in "03". The amount of time and effort that went into the planning was tremendous and it turned out better than I or anyone else I think could have expected. My Hats Off to all the members of the GGA and the State park service who made this past weekend the success that it was. I won't name names cause I don't know y'all yet but everyone did such a great job. Kudos to all and can't wait for the next event. Thanks Haffy Big Grin

You guys and gals did a GREAT JOB!

This is going to be a hard act to follow, but I look forward to next year even if it can't be matched.

For me one act that would be hard to follow is madcat's gift to the event, $136 he won on the 50/50.

That was an awesome thing for madcat to do. I didn't know how much it was but that didn't matter to me, the gesture is what I appreciated the most.

I'd hate to have to follow this event with next months. I wouldn't want that chore. Good thing its a meet and greet and not a full fledge event.

What? Decembers event isn't four days long with a full three ring circus?

My GPSr is Trans-Portable and has a Ford Ranger mounted to it.

Yeah, I don't think there are many people who would have done that.

Hey, we have to stop and feed the clowns sometime! Do you have any idea how hard it is to get all of them in and out of the Cache Cab? They did a good job putting out the house on fire, though. Clown

A BIG shout-out goes to Phillips4 for setting up the very professional cache page layouts and web page (hosted on his server BTW) and Paypal link. His pages certainly went a long way toward setting the tone and making Going Coastal bigger than life right off the bat. I hope Eric doesn't mind me saying that he took an entire day off (plus some) from work just to get things set up. We hate it that he had to miss the fun. He did a lot of work to make this a success! clap clap

Jim
