Because so few people signed up, and I'm sure that more (or less) will attend, I'm not going to make a group reservation. If you're planning on coming, you might want to make a reservation of your own.
Sometime in the next week or so I'll be taking the coordinates of a shelter and changing the coordinates on the cache event page.
Reservations are going fast, so make that call (800 864-7275). RV sites are limited, if not gone, but there are other areas in the neighborhood, and there are always some cancellations.

As I stated in the other topic, this is less than 10 miles from my house, so I will just be popping in and out, but sleeping in MY bed. BTW - checked on my Unicoi/Smith Creek cache today and it is FULL and ready to be plucked! Easy.

Banned from Unicoi? Don't sweat it, I've been banished from nicer places.
I've got a reservation in the "walk in" camp area. No water or electric, so a little primitive, but OK for me.
The cookout's a pretty good idea. You gonna be at the June meet? We can see about adding that to the event.
I've added links on the event cache page where one can download an ExpertGPS file and a Mobipocket file of the nearby caches. I'll update both files before the event; just thought I'd give food for thought.
Just saw in my local White County News that the summer concert lineup at Unicoi has been set. The Saturday nite of the Jaunt will feature the Mountain Williams Band, which plays bluegrass music. The concerts are free, but they 'pass the hat' for the performers, as they are volunteers. It begins at 8pm. Bring yor stompin' shoes.

I did not make the June 7 meeting. Were any more plans made for the Jaunt at Unicoi? Has an picnic area or pavillion been reserved, or are the coordinates on the web page? Thanks for the update.

The final coordinates for the Jaunt have been posted to the Jaunt page. (See first comment in this thread for link.)
There's no real agenda except for what you see on the page. The gathering spot is not one that can be reserved, so we hit it at our own risk. I'm told, however, that 9am on the Saturday should be cool. If it's occupied, we'll punt.
This is intended to be a free wheeling cacher's campout. It's not intended to be equal to the Fall Challenge Event which will be, believe me, a challenge. This is just fun and friendship. No pressure, no contests, just cachin' & chillin'.
Not many takers, yet. I guess the 3 or 4 of us will 'pass a good time'. I gotta go - to checkout Trez's 'Rolling Mansion'. I'm sure there will be grills available, but I'm bringing my desktop gas grill, just in case.

The final stage of DaRebel's Revenge is in the neighborhood. Campers will be given the coordinates and allowed to score it without doing both stages. Call it a perk for showing up!

I'm sorry, but I will not be there. I am finalizing plans to go to KY to the Woodstock meeting. I have not posted to that cache page and hope to surprise people at the gathering. I think I will be the only GGA member there and will give away some GGA thermometer key rings! I hate to miss the campout, but I have been working toward getting to this meeting since it was posted. Megabummer, and I hope it goes well.
